New York City is the city that never sleeps…and that includes our favorite food spots! Whether you have a late night craving, or you’re looking for something to eat on after a night out of dancing, we’ve all had that hankering a 2 am! Open with late hours and serving up some of the tastiest grub you can find at that time, here are our favorite spots to get late night food in NYC right now!
1. Döner Haus, Union Square
Nothing hits harder than some tasty German Döner kebab and fries, served until 11 pm. German-born owner Nikolaus von Solodkoff opened Döner Haus and their menu of Döner Kebabs (crispy Turkish style bread-pocket overstuffed with choice of beef or chicken, layered with locally sourced vegetables, and lathered with garlic sauce), Döner Box (choice of beef or chicken served over Haus Fries and salad), and Haus Fries (crispy fries tossed in signature German-Turkish seasoning) is out of this world.

2. JG Melon, Upper East Side
JG Melon is an Upper East Side institution at this point, and this“saloon with food” has been serving great food since 1972. Known most for their mouthwatering burgers, cottage fries, and bloody marys, this spot is open until 3 am most nights (excluding Sundays). If you’re getting a late night beefy craving head here, and remember to have some dollar bills because it’s cash only.

3. Dim Sum Palace, Multiple Locations
For the best late night dim sum, head to one of Dim Sum Palace’s several locations scattered around NYC! The family owned Cantonese restaurant is open until 4 am and serves dim sum plus other great dishes like seafood stir-fry, shumai and BBQ pork buns!

4. Hen House, East Village
Hen House is one of our newest favorite late night spots, especially because they serve up Lebanese shawarma after hours! Open until 3 am on Fridays and Saturdays, this East Village spot also serves loaded-up shawarma poutine, Lebanese crunch wraps, and a piri piri sourdough fried chicken sandwich on its late night menu. Is your mouth watering yet?

5. Ichibantei, East Village
Open until 3 am, Ichibantei specializes in Japanese comfort food, with options like Ichibantei Steak, Chicken Nanban and Donburi Rice Bowls available through the wee hours of the night. Not to mention their restaurant embodies the soul of authentic Japan, thanks to the Japanese film noir posters and swanky murals. It’s feel like a late night drive through Tokyo.

6. Veselka, East Village
This classic Ukrainian restaurant in the East Village is open until midnight on weeknights and Saturdays, serving up latkes, Ukranian meatballs, pancakes, soups, and a whole lot more. Not to mention their divine after-dark pierogis! It’s been open since 1954 so you know they have their late night bites down to a science.

7. Empanada Mama, Multiple Locations
As its name suggests, Empanada Mama is the go-to spot for late night empanadas, but their menu expands far beyond that! Open 24/7 (yes that’s right), you can get literally anything…from a Classic Colombian breakfast to arepas to sangrias and beyond! This place is a sight to see and fits any vibe you’re after.

8. Prince Street Pizza, SoHo
Prince Street Pizza is one of our favorite pizza spots in NYC, so it’s no shock it makes our list of best late night eats. Open until 3 am during the week and 5 am on the weekends, this place is here for your late night pepperoni slice craving.

9. Mamoun’s Falafel, Multiple Locations
With 3 locations across Manhattan, Mamoun’s Falafel serves their signature sandwiches and bowls until as late as 3 am at their Greenwich Village location. Falafels like the “Bleecker” and “West 4th” are cheekily named and equally tasty. Don’t forget to dowse it in their famous hot sauce too.

10. COTE Korean Steakhouse, Flatiron
This Michelin-starred steakhouse has its own late night specials that are available Thursday – Saturday from 11 pm – 1 am. The special menu features “STEAK & EGGS™, ” Cote Naengmyun, Korean Chopped Steak, and The “1 Inch” Ribeye Schnitzel. If you’re a meat lover it’s an absolute must.

11. Coppelia, Chelsea
If you’re searching for top notch diner food in NYC, head to Coppelia, which is open 24/7. Complete with a soda fountain, counter service, booth seating, antique fans and pastel-colored walls…this spot is straight out of Havana, Cuba serving delectable Latin cuisine, homemade ice cream, milkshakes, and more. It’s perfect for late night dinner, early morning brunch, and everything in between!

12. 7th Street Burger, Multiple Locations
We may be a bit biased, but 7th Street Burger’s smash burgers might just be our favorite late night bite. Their menu consists of simply burgers and fries (+ veggie burgers), and everything is done with perfection. From the seasoned fries to the melted cheese, you can grab them all around the city, with many locations staying open until 3 am on weekends.

13. Tacobee’s, Crown Heights
This eclectic Tex-Mex restaurant in Brooklyn is your one-stop-shop for all your Mexican cravings. Open until 3 am daily, you have your choice between mouthwatering quesadillas, tantalizing tacos, generously stuffed burritos, and more. Wash them down with some Mexican sodas or ice-cold cervezas and you’ll be good to go.

14. The Munchies, Crown Heights
When we say The Munchies has just about any fried food or halal option you can think of…we’re not kidding. Open through 4 am, you can get just about anything you’re desiring, like a crispy chicken tender sandwich smothered in Munchie sauce, chicken and lamb halal platters, gyros, and so much more.

15. Adel’s Famous Halal Food
You’ve undoubtedly seen or heard about Adel’s Famous Halal Food, the food cart that sits steps away from Midtown’s Radio City Music Hall. It always seems to have a line wrapping around the block, and it’s for good reason. The Middle Eastern food truck prepares halal gyros like you’ve never had before, overflowing with sauce and flavors. It’s open until 4 or 5 am each night and the line still may even be long at that time! That’s how good we’re talking.
