Barbara Jean St.Denis, 85, of New Castle passed away the afternoon of December 19, 2023 at UPMC Jameson Hospital.
Barbara was born April 16, 1938 in New Castle. She was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Serwatka) Pilch. Barbara was married to Henry St. Denis. He preceded her in death in 1961. Mrs. St.Denis was of Catholic Faith and a member of Holy Spirit Parish.
Barbara graduated from Shenango High School class of 1956. She earned her Bachelors and Master’s Degree of Education at Slippery Rock University. Mrs. St. Denis retired as a Second Grade teacher at Lockley Elementary School after 42 years.
Barbara is survived by her daughter Dr. Renee K. (Ronald) Jones, of Little Rock AR; granddaughters Dr. Brittany (Joshua) Jones-Goss, of Napa Valley CA, and Heather Sue Jones, of Safety Harbor, FL; two great- grandchildren, Dominic and Maia Goss; and 5 nephews, 3 nieces, 1 great-niece and 1 great-nephew who she loved dearly.
In addition to her parents and husband, Barbara was preceded by her sisters, Frances Carpenter, Stella Pilch and Leona Parent.
A Private Blessing Service was held today at Noga Funeral Home, Inc., 1142 S. Mill St. New Castle PA. Burial and committal will be in SS Philip and James Cemetery. Online condolences may be viewed or offered by visiting www.nogafuneralhome.com
