Entering the main lobby, entrants are surrounded by inspiring elements including images of aspirational sports and a stair that winds up to the second floor with carefully chosen views to emphasize the user experience.

A two-story glass curved wall offers views of the outdoor playing fields. Interior glass walls continue the effect, creating a strong connection between the clinic and physical therapy space.

At each nurses’ station, nurses can easily see doors to patient rooms, which enables them to track activities without leaving other tasks.

Evidence-based design strategies combine with innovations to UCHealth’s prototypical room to optimize care for the most complex patient postulation. With patient-centered care as the primary goal of the project and where opportunity availed, treatment rooms welcome abundant daylight, connect patients to the landscape with expansive views, and enkindle trust between the provider and patient by featuring a computer cart (versus wall-mounted technology) enabling providers to chart while remaining face-to-face and conversing with patients.

The multifunctional class space overlooks where strength training, aerobics, Pilates, and yoga classes are planned. The full gym in the physical therapy area includes an indoor/outdoor track with 60 meters inside and 20 to 30 meters outdoors. One of three roll-up doors enables athletes to run from inside to outside.

The fourth-floor surgical center waiting room tops the building, providing calming vistas and views to the activity surrounding the facility on the performance field and neighboring golf course.
