Seattle (SEA) Amex Centurion Lounge [Location, Hours, Amenities] (2024)

With many locations throughout the world at key airports, the American Express Centurion Lounge network continues to grow rapidly and needs to be able to handle lots of customers at any one time.

American Express not-too-long-ago renovated its Seattle Centurion Lounge to make it larger, accommodating more passengers during busier times of the day, however, it recently opened an entirely new lounge space which is much larger than the older lounge.

The Seattle Centurion Lounge sits in the middle of Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA), home to hubs for Alaska Airlines and Delta Air Lines, so you can imagine that this lounge gets quite a bit of use.

In this review, we’re going to take a look at what makes this lounge special, which amenities are offered, and how you can gain access inside.

Location of the Amex Centurion Lounge at SEA

This lounge is in the Central Terminal, which happens to be right in the middle of most of the gates where Delta and Alaska operate flights, though it’s accessible by anyone after security. Once you go through the security checkpoints, you can walk to the lounge without having to take a train. However, if you’re flying to Seattle and land on a farther out terminal — such as the N gates that Alaska uses — you’ll need to take the train into the main concourse area and then walk to the lounge from there.

The lounge is approximately 14,000 square feet. To get to the lounge, take the branded elevators up from the terminal 1 flight up to the lounge which overlooks the atrium space.

To enter the lounge, there are several requirements:

Inside the Lounge

When you enter the Centurion Lounge Seattle, you’ll find the entrance divided into 2 lanes — 1 for entering passengers and 1 for exiting passengers. If the lounge is at capacity, you’ll find an attendant stationed outside the lounge to take your information and add you to the waitlist.

The lounge is divided into several areas — there is an initial bar area, then a coffee bar, then the main buffet, followed by a larger seating area with panoramic windows.

On visiting this lounge, this space felt much lesscrowded, particularly compared to other lounges, which is a good thing.

In the middle of the lounge, there are restrooms, but it’s worth noting that this lounge does not have any shower facilities. Therefore, if you’re connecting in Seattle (SEA) or departing on a long-haul flight and had hopes of a quick shower to feel refreshed before departure, you’ll want to plan ahead.

All Centurion Lounges feature a complimentary buffet line, as well as a fully-staffed bar. The Centurion Lounge in Seattle offers a “Seattle Soul” menu designed by Seattle restaurant owner and James Beard Award semifinalist Chef Kristi Brown with a nod to Seattle’s Pacific Northwest location.

For breakfast, consider “Peach Cobbla French Toast” with brown sugar and cinnamon, or an egg scramble with house-cured smoked salmon, fried capers, red onions, and chives. For lunch and dinner, there are always several hot dishes, offered with starches and vegetables, such as blackened chicken Cobb salad, or Trinidadian spiced pork belly.

The staffed bar has pretty much every co*cktail you could want, all designed by legendary co*cktail artist Jim Meehan.

In addition to the main bar, there is also the Centurion Lounge network’sfirst full-service coffee bar. Blue Roast by American Express features made-to-order drinks from Seattle-based Caffè Umbria,as well as order a selection of healthy snacks.
