In case you are planning to work abroad, the government agency that will be assisting you is the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration. Everyone will need to be registered online. If you want to become an OFW, here’s how to Register in POEA’s Online Service Portal (E-Registration).
Each OFW will need to register online and obtain a reference number from the E-Registration. A reference number will be used in encoding for your Overseas Employment Certificate. Read more below to know how to register and some features of the Online Service Portal.

How To Register In POEA’s Online Service Portal
STEP 1: Go to this website and click “Let’s Go!”
STEP 2: If this is your first time, click “Register.” Accept the terms of usage.
STEP 3: Enter the information asked. Review it, then click “Register.” You will then receive an e-mail with your temporary password.
STEP 4: Log-in to your account using the Temporary Password.
You can change your password afterward.
STEP 5: From there, you can see your dashboard.
How To Update Your Profile And Other Details In POEA’s Online Service Portal
Once you are done with the registration, you can update your profile. Click “My Profile” at the left corner of the screen.
Enter the correct details and update your profile.
Don’t also forget to attach your Passport and Profile Picture. The details are seen on the dashboard.
You can also add you’re your Education and training details to the “My Education” Tab. This can be helpful if you apply for a job, as the POEA can see details in their database.
It’s also better to put details in “Work Experience” too.
As for the documents, you can upload the following:
NBI Clearance
Police Clearance
Medical Certificate
This will be checked by the POEA, especially if you apply for an Overseas Employment Certificate for the first time. Usually, a Medical Certificate is required.
How To Look For A Job In POEA’s Online Service Portal
On the Dashboard, you can see a few open jobs. Just click “Apply now.”
You will know if you are fit immediately or what documents are needed as there is an initial assessment. You can see mine below. I clicked “apply now” for a caregiver in Israel. As I have no TESDA Certificate nor a Nursing Graduate, I am not qualified for the job. Also, I missed uploading my NBI Clearance which is a requirement.
You can also join an online Job fair.
Another option is, you can also go to “My Experience” and enter which kind of job you prefer in what country. You may be given alerts or have your profile checked in case a job vacancy is seen.
If you also need a resume, you can go to “My Resume” and print it. The information given is based on what you have entered in My Profile to My Documents. You can send it to POEA accredited agencies, too.
What To Do for Direct Hire Applicants
One of the requirements for Direct Hired Filipinos during their Phase 2 is to have an E-Registration. You need to register first. Update your profile and upload your documents
Once you are done, you can click “Direct Hire Application” on the right side of the screen. Enter the details asked and click “Submit Application.”
An E-Registration Info Sheet is also required to be presented, so make sure to print this out before going to the POEA office. Services may be limited, or queues may be long. This can quickly be done online.
That’s how you can register in POEA’s E-Registration. You need to have one as immigration officers would not let you out of the country without an Overseas Employment Certificate. Having an OEC means your documents are legal, you have been to orientations, and you will work legally abroad. Don’t forget to have yours now!
